Some people get warts on their feet. Warts are caused by a skin virus that enters into the skin and causes a small bump on the foot that can be painful and unsightly. We recommend treatment of the warts because not only are they painful, but once you have one wart, they can spread to multiple warts, which makes treatment even more difficult. The way we treat warts in our office is with topical medications; sometimes they have to be scraped out, and sometimes we use chemical treatments. In determining what treatment we use for a wart, we look at activity level, the location of the wart, and also the size of the wart. After we evaluate your foot, we will determine the best treatment option for you.
